Sanjo School & College of Nursing, Mandya, is a Catholic nursing institution established and managed by the Medical Sisters of St. Joseph (MSJ), Dharmagiri, St. Joseph’s Province, Kothamangalam, Kerala. The MSJ congregation was founded by Servant of God Msgr. Joseph Panjikaran (1888–1949), whose profound spiritual vision and compassion for the suffering inspired a lifelong mission of service, especially in the field of healthcare. Guided by this vision, the congregation carries forward its healing ministry through dedicated medical and educational apostates. In response to the growing healthcare needs of undeserved and rural communities, St. Joseph’s Province initiated the nursing education mission in Mandya District, Karnataka. Sanjo School of Nursing was inaugurated in 2009 with an annual intake of 50 students. In 2020, the B.Sc. Nursing program was introduced with an intake of 40 students per year. The institution stands as a testimony to the MSJ’s unwavering commitment to quality nursing education, shaping competent professionals who serve society with compassion, integrity, and dedication.
